Treasurer’s Report

 

 

·          Treasurer’s report:  Refer to Attachment A.

·          Current total as of July 31, 2008: $54,137.42.  No RBJSL registration fees or ref fees have been paid as of yet.  Expected payout for uniforms as well.

·          Motion to accept Treasurer’s report. 1st Guy M., 2nd Larry H.

·          Recommendation made to perform registration on site next year to ensure payment of registration fees, and to disperse fundraising.

Ways & Means

·          Ellen Warner will sell TSC apparel for Opening Day

·          Coke Wagon:  Sept. 26, 27, 28. 

o         Other donations will be sought from player parents, i.e. cases of water, condiments, and soups.

o         Coaches of U8 & U9 will distribute sign-up lists to their parents; list will include volunteer work time for each team of 2-4 hours, as well as donations.

·          Contact Deb Heywood if you would like to volunteer to assist with the Coke wagon or have other fundraiser ideas safire7@dejazzd.com

 

Grounds

·                       Blane inquired about benches for the lower Longswamp, Rockland & DT fields.  David B. reports finding benches that are collapsible.  TSC approved to purchase 3 benches for these fields.

·                      TSC was approved by the school to place storage boxes at school fields.  Bruce will donate one box for the Rockland field.  TSC will purchase 2 more next season.

·                      Steve U or Rob K. will pick up benches where available at a decent price.

 

 

 

Equipment

·          Marco distributed new game balls.

Fall Registration

·          Steph reports all primary passes handed in with exception to U16 girls-need to match the pictures to the passes.

Fall Tournaments

Coaches who are interested in entering a fall tournament:

Jason and Mike attended Oley.

U8 Oley tourney will be combined teams.

·          10 teams plan on attending a tournament.  This is more than 50% of our budgeted funds for fall tournaments.  Will discuss actual attendance at next meeting, and decide on monies allotted for second tourney this fall.

·          TSC will need to reevaluate budget for tournaments; prices have increased markedly annually.

Old Business

 

 

Opening Day

·          Pictures will be held in Middle School if raining. 

·          Mike investigating PA system options.

·          Need volunteers to run the skills challenges, and keep the scores.  Steve & Rob will set up the night before.

·          Bruce volunteered to chair Opening Day committee next year, Matt Vorhis & wife to assist.

 

 

 

Committees

·          Sandy reviewed the list of committees in the By-Laws. 

·          Sandy will distribute list to membership and seek volunteers for each of the committees.

 

New Business

 

 

RBJSL

·          Jason M. & David B. volunteered to attend an RBJSL meeting every 4th month.

·          Team registration is due by Sept. 1.  Player registration closes July 9th.

·          Coaches’ meeting Aug. 21st or Aug. 25th at 7:00 at Fleetwood HS.  Season starts 9/13.

·          Potential automated submission of scores to begin in fall: Demisphere Scores submitted via automated phone call after games.  Our statistician will submit scores for this season.

·          Rosters will be required at each game-photocopy is acceptable with personal information blocked.

 

·          Refer to RBJSL website for more information.

·          All coaches U9 and up must attend.

 

 

 

·          Contact Steph Kohler for team relegation if unclear.

Longswamp

·          Park & Rec committee reportedly investigating grants for Huntsicker’s Grove property maintenance, as well as creating options for development plans.

 

New Uniforms

·          Much discussion over new uniforms, options for payment, and uniform quality.

·          Motion made for TSC to purchase one inexpensive light colored shirt this fall (required for Home teams).  Uniform committee can then discuss the options this season, and bring their options to the budget meeting in November for membership to vote upon the uniform and purchasing options.

·          New jerseys will be purchased in January.

·          Motion was voted upon, unanimous vote for approval.

·          Uniform committee will purchase inexpensive light colored jersey for each player on U9 and up teams.

·          Uniform committee will meet separately to identify quality uniforms for club, and options for payment, as well as what qualifies as “uniform” (i.e. shirts (2), shorts, socks).

TSC sign

·          Topton Borough requires a submission of sign dimensions, a written letter to Pen Dot identifying the purpose of the sign, and a permit fee of 75.00 annually.

·          After further discussion, club members agreed to purchase a banner for advertisement of TSC registration dates with modes of changing the season and dates.

·          Jason M. will investigate banner options and costs.

Wrap-Up

·          U8 referees will be Sandy Tremblay’s & Bruce Bortz’s sons from HS soccer team.  Their payment will be ½ the U9 ref fees for each game ($14.00/game)

·           Sandy & Bruce will work out the schedule.
