Treasurer’s Report

·          Treasurer’s report:  Refer to Attachment A.

·          Current total as of Sept. 30, 2008: 40,878.68.  RBJSL registration fees and uniform costs have been paid out.  Outstanding fees: Wilson Tournament & Paint Fees

Ways & Means

·          Coke Wagon was cancelled due to lack of participation from membership.

·          Will require a new ways & means chair for 2009.  New chair will need to decide what Fall fundraiser; Corbi’s or other.  Will need to decide on fundraiser by Jan. 2009.

Grounds

·                       No problems, except for HS field. 

·                      Blane reports games at HS will be played on the HS practice field after 11/1, no longer on HS softball field after this date.

·                      No games at DT on 10/25

·                      Any repair work on fields may be performed upon approval by AD

·                      New benches have been effective and appreciated.

Equipment

·          Ice packs may be picked up at Geist’s.

·          Equipment drop off may occur at the November meeting, if your team is not in the playoffs

·          All uniform shirts shall be turned in at the end of the season.  Mike Freeby will collect the uniforms.  TSC will keep gray shirts as primary shirt for next year.

Fall Season

·          Demisphere is working very well for all coaches.

·          TSC has been consistently reporting scores

·          Thanks to all coaches for reporting in a timely manner. Thanks to Lynn Wall for reminders.

Under the Lights

·          Went very well

·          U8 teams would like to have their trophies presented under the lights as well.

·          Trophies for U8 teams will need to be obtained early as well.

Trophies

·          Trophies have arrived.  Coaches may come to Kohler’s for pick-up.  Coaches to check names ASAP, and contact Rob for corrections.

·          Coaches to pick up trophies at Kohler’s.

Old Business

Indoor

·          Blane put in for 8-12 at the MS every Sat., or late in the day Saturdays (~3-9) from November through March.

·          Possible TSC Indoor tournament-will require an organizer

·          Body Zone is costing $850.00 without ref fees. 

·          Spring/Indoor tournaments fees will be capped at $400.00/team (total budgeted for 2009 is $4000.00)

·          Need TSC organizer for Indoor tournament

·          Coaches communicate interest in Indoor tourneys/Body Zone or Spring tourneys.

Committees

·          Committee formation to occur in the new year.

New Business

RBJSL

·          Spring registration may occur on Demisphere per Ed Fink; however clarification is needed re. new teams and incomplete teams.

·          Will perform Spring Reg. at DT.  Reg. due Jan. 14^th, relegation is 1/19, player reg. is 1/31.

·          Spring registration potentially 12/2, 12/5 & 12/6, as school is available.

·          If there are no referees at your game, report this with your score on the card.

·          RBJSL will hold playoffs over 2 days in Fall 2009.

·          Refer to RBJSL website for more information.

Longswamp

·          TSC can no longer use the storage at Longswamp.  Need storage that is at least 26 feet long and 12 feet wide.

·          Rob requesting to place painted fields on middle baseball field next fall for U6.  This will require larger goals (4’ x 8’), and possibly longer season.  Guy recommended U6 players register for 1^st 6 weeks, take 1 week break, and then re register to play another 6 weeks at half price.  New players for second 6 weeks would pay full price.

Hunsicker’s Grove

·          Letter was sent to county commissioner

·          Solicitor for Longswamp responded-hopeful to work together.  Township sent letters out to all sports clubs to keep them informed.  Reportedly research in ’99: adult size field placement would cost $88,000, youth size $45,000.  In 1999, the county wrote on 4/29/99 that they would match monies spent up to $100,000.

·          TSC needs to gain non-profit status, proposal to join with Oley football in this venture, creating a regional organization, which increases our potential to obtain grants.

·          Rob will continue to investigate all potential avenues for placing TSC fields at Hunsicker’s grove. 

·          Rob will contact County rep. re. promissory statement made in 1999

·          Steve U. investigating, Bruce will ask neighbor for assistance

Spring

·          Registration dates and times pending.

·          Will allow U8 2^nd years to play up to U9 Boys/Girls. 

·          Registrar to email U8 coaches with this opportunity.

Website

·          TSC needs upgrading, will investigate E Team website developer.

Officer Nominations

·          Nominations:

President: Steve Unis, he has accepted.  No other nominations.

Vice President: Mike Freeby, he has accepted.  Guy Miller nominated Blane Musser, he has accepted.

Treasurer: Lori Yocco, she has accepted.  No other nominations.

Secretary: Heather Miller, she has accepted.  No other nominations.

Registrar: Stephanie Kohler, she has accepted. No other nominations.

Board Member at Large: Blane Musser, Bruce Bortz, Guy Miller, Rob Kohler all have accepted their nominations. No other nominations.

Elections will occur via ballot; voting members include board of directors, head coaches, 1 asst. coach, and any members who have attended at least 6 of the last 12 meetings.

·          Nominations are open through November’s meeting.  Voting will occur at November’s meeting.

Wrap-Up

·          Kohlers requested a pledge from TSC to a family who recently lost their father; circumstances lead to no life insurance for this family.  The children have been active in the TSC for 8-9 years, and the parent was also a coach in the TSC.
